Explore Krasnodar Park on a virtual walk

Parkodar is an unofficial voxel recreation of Krasnodar Park that you can explore in your browser. The first area includes the stadium and its surrounding plaza, with staircases, paths, lawns and tree-lined walks. More parts of the park will be added over time.

Things to do in Parkodar

Explore in third or first person, run and jump, and switch between morning, day, evening and night. Ride a giant ginger cat to get around faster. The stadium interior and areas beyond the construction fences are currently closed.

The Play menu offers two mini-games. In parkour, climb a spiral of moving platforms above a lava crater to reach the stadium’s height of 43 metres. In Catch the yarn, you have one minute to catch a hopping ball of yarn as many times as possible while riding the cat.

Krasnodar Stadium and its surroundings

The first area centres on the oval stadium with its light stone facade. Approach the building and look at it to open an article over the 3D scene. You can also read the separate guide to Krasnodar Stadium’s location, architecture and history.

Explore on a computer or phone

Use WASD, Shift and Space on a computer, or the on-screen joystick and buttons on a phone. No app installation is needed. The 3D walk requires a browser with JavaScript and WebGL support. The interface and articles are available in Russian and English.

Krasnodar Stadium

Krasnodar Stadium is the home of FC Krasnodar, with seating for 33,000 spectators. Opened in 2016, the arena and the surrounding park form a single architectural ensemble.

Where is Krasnodar Stadium?

The stadium is at 1 Razvedchika Leonova Street, Krasnodar, next to Krasnodar Park. Its oval facade of light stone and the broad staircases rising from the plaza make it easy to recognise.

Architecture and facade

The oval facade recalls an ancient amphitheatre. It is clad in travertine, a natural stone, with projecting vertical ribs dividing the exterior into narrow sections. A row of open bays crowns the building.

German architecture practice gmp designed the stadium, with Russian adaptation by SPEECH. The raised podium sets the arena apart from the park’s open spaces. As you walk around the building, the repeated vertical elements reveal changing views and patterns of shadow.

Capacity, stands and football pitch

Krasnodar Stadium has 33,000 seats. A roof covers all the stands, and infrared heating helps keep spectators comfortable in cooler weather. A large screen with a total surface area of 4,700 m² runs around the inside of the bowl as a continuous ring.

The pitch measures 105 × 68 m. Heating, cooling and aeration systems help maintain the grass, while supplementary lighting makes up for limited sunlight.

When did Krasnodar Stadium open?

Construction began in 2013 and finished in 2016. The first match took place on 9 October 2016, when Russia played Costa Rica. FC Krasnodar’s first home match here followed on 20 October, against Germany’s Schalke 04 in the Europa League.
